The brewhouse is a combined tank including mashing tun&lauter tun&kettle tun.There is no whirlpooling in the tank,because that it is too small volume to whirlpooling few trub.

2.Glycol cooling unit:
There is a chiller in the bottom of the beer system,and the glycol water
pump ,solenoid water valve.Its working principle is same with the large beer equipment.The brewmaster set expected temperature of the fermenter through controller (such as 6℃) manually. When the actual liquid
temperature in the fermenter go over 6℃, the solenoid water valve will open to let the glycol water flow into the ermenter jacket, proceeding cooling. When the temp.drops to the expected data (6℃), the solenoid water valve closes automatically ,at the same time,the glycol water stops the circulation.See attachment about the picture and drawing.

3.Control unit:
There is a controller in the system,the brewmaster could operate the beer system conveniently through it.See attachment about the picture and drawing.

4.Fermenter:
There are two fermenter tanks,if brewmaster plan to make carbonation through fermenter,he could proceed this process through the discharge port for carbonation.And we also could make the carbonation port on the fermenter tanks.

Its working process in the brewhouse below

From the drawing,you could see that ,there is a electric coil in the brewhouse for heating,and there is a inner shell with as strainer for lautering.
1.Mashing
At the beginning,the brewmaster put the inner shell (strainer) into the brewhouse tanks,adding
water and heating it to the set temperature,such as 77 degree.And then putting the grain into the
inner shell(strainer) ,at the same time,resetting the temperature,such as 65 degree.,after about
one hour,it will finish mashing.

2.Lautering
After mashing,the brewmaster use a holder raising the inner shell(strainer) gradually to lauter the
wort&grain mixture.After lautering,the brewmaster will reset the temperature for starting boiling.

3.Boiling and adding the hop
When boiling the wort to about 107 degree,the brewmaster will add a certain bitter hop for about 50 minutes,and later adding the aroma hop boiling some minutes.

The glycol cooling system, heat exchanger, fermenter, bright beer tanks are a whole. In Tiantai beer system, we always match with 2 set of chiller in the glycol cooing system. And what is the function of heat exchanger? What is the working process? Is heat exchanger still necessary if there are 2 chillers?
Whether you choose cold water or cold water combined glycol water, the chillers are used to cool glycol water in glycol water tank only, heat exchanger can cool wort because cold water and wort will exchange heating with each other.

If two-stage heat exchanger, the process will be:
Glycol water from the glycol water tank cools two parts:
The first part is to cool the wort via heat exchanger
(This takes place in the second stage of the heat exchanger, the first stage is usually cooled with city water),
The other part is to cool the fermenter and bright beer tank.

If single stage heat exchanger, the process will be:
Glycol water from the glycol water tank cools one part: fermenter and bright beer tank.
Then the wort will be cooled directly by the cold water through the single stage heat exchanger.

So chillers cannot instead of heat exchanger, they do totally different works in the whole cooling process.
Now there are 2 kinds of heat exchanger. Two-stage and single stage. Two-stage is very common but consider of energy saving and sanitary, the single-stage is more and more popular now.
For two-stage heat exchanger, the first stage is cold water, the second stage is glycol water.
For single-stage heat exchanger, it just cold water. So it will be more sanitary and safe for wort. Also heat utilization rate obviously increased, and it is easy to control and operate.

To build a brewery, it is important to check the water and electric. If I already have a space, how to check if our power is big enough?
Like one customer from Europe, he only has a 60Amp power line. But he wants to choose the electric heating brewhouse which is at least 42kw. Is it enough?(note the voltage is 3 phases, 400v, 50hz)
Answer: For the calculating, after checking with engineer and it is like this.
I=P/(1.732X0.8U)=42000/(1.732x0.8x400)=76A. (note: 1.732 means √3 )
And our engineer has another way to calculate and get the similar result:
I=P/(3phasesx400V) *2=42000/(3x400) *2=70A
The reason we plus 2 is the connection of the heat pipe is triangle connect.
Two heating points will use one fire wire.
